Let’s Talk Christmas Gyaru Co*des! ♡

Hey gals! ♡ Long time no blog~

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas if you celebrated it! Today I wanted to show you all the gyaru co*des I have worn for the past 4 Christmasses! From 2021-2024. My xmas co*des are a big deal for me, every year I plan months ahead what I am going to wear on the day! I typically go for the Onee Gyaru style but have changed it up some years~

Let's take a detailed look at the co*des now!

2021~ My first year as a gal! I was immediately drawn to the less-popular substyles such as onee gyaru, a substyle that still holds a place in my top favorites. It's just so classy and elegant<3
Here I am wearing a top from Delyle Noir, my favorite onee gal brand. The sleeves are attached under the tube top. It's kind of a knit texture. Over that I am wearing a butterfly chain belt that I had gotten before I ever got my first D.I.A belt! I really like this top & belt combo. Below that I'm just wearing  some darkwash jeans and comfy ugg-style boots with bows on the side, offbrand from ebay. I still wear those boots with a lot of winter co*des!!

2022!~ My second year of gal. I really started experimenting with different hair colors that year and settled on peach for a while which you can see in this co*de. I opted for onee gal again on xmas that year with a Diable Baiser top and Evelyn skirt. (Side note Diable is another fav brand of mine, OMG) The Diable top has a loose neck surrounded with lace and the Evelyn skirt is tweed with fur pockets. I accessorized with a Vivienne Westwood-style royal orb pearl necklace and fuzzy pompom earrings. On the bottom half I'm just wearing some sheer black tights and cat mary janes from Hot Topic. I am sad the report the skirt no longer fits. 😅

2023: Year 3 of my gal life~ A very exciting one at that as I had joined Kira Kira Gals gyarusa in the summer and really became involved with the in-person gyaru community!
That year for Christmas I wore more of a general gyaru-kei co*de. I got this nordic-patterned sweater and skirt from Romwe/Shein which gave me old school Liz Lisa vibes because they used to have a lot of nordic-patterned winter clothing. I still really really love that era of Liz Lisa and try to relive it. 😭
I accessorized with fuzzy snowflake earrings and a holiday Kuromi necklace. On my feet I'm wearing black knee- high boots over puffy wool-trimmed socks with pompom balls. This co*de is just C U T E!!

2024: The present year and year 4 of gal! WHAT A YEAR! This year I felt that I FINALLY figured out my makeup style and fashion style! It took me YEARS to get down a make style I felt suited me, and once I did my gal confidence grew. I also made so many new friends, had so many amazing experiences with Kira Kira Gals, and started a gyaru accessory brand. It's been my best gal year yet!
Onto the co*de~ The bow craze took over America. Bows are everywhere now. I'm so happy about it!!  I decided to do onee gal again because I wanted to wear this gorgeous Princess Melody skirt printed with roses, pearls, and perfume bottles. At Target I was able to find this bright red bow bodysuit, these statement gold bow heels, and little velvet bow hairclips. I added an offbrand tan bolero on top that I got from ebay and a holiday My Melody necklace. I was literally covered in bows head-to-toe. 😍

◇◇◇

Those are my last 4 years of Christmas gyaru co*des, what do you think? :) I can't pick a favorite hehe..  Wonder what my next xmas co*de will be! Thanks so much for taking a look at this blog and I'll see you in the next one. Bye gals! ♡

Hey gals! ♡
In this post I'm going to be telling you about a very little-known and super cute substyle of gyaru fashion: marine gyaru! Gal's adorable nautical style~

Latest deco spree!~

Hey gals!
I recently fractured my elbow. ;~; I haven’t been able to work because of my injury so I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands which led to me going on a deco spree. \^o^/ I wanna show you what I made!~

I deco’ed a mini UV gel nail light with black E-6000 and lots of pink rhinestones!! (I don’t even do gel nails shhhh but now I’m going to bahaha).. I also deco’ed this ID case to wear with shorts me kogal looks. Yes that is a Doki Doki Literature Club member card and yes I still need to fill it out. .-.

I had this solid black contour palette that I felt needed some pizazz so I absolutely slathered it in rhinestones and a cute butterfly pin~ I LOVE those sheets with adhesive rhinestone strips! You can deco anything in a matter of minutes!

I blinged out three framed pics of my cat family<3 I made them match with the purple flowers~ I think I wanna change the pics to something that will match the frame better because THAT STUFF BOTHERS ME!! *cry*

And that’s it… for now. I won’t stop until everything in my house is deco’ed.

Blog rebrand + theme song?!

Hey gals!

It’s time for a new chapter in my gal life~

I have finally decided to say goodbye to the handle @p3ttikura which I was using on all platforms. I haven’t really liked it for the last couple of years, but kept it because that’s how people knew me. But now, after some major personal life changes, I decided it’s also time to change it up on social media and rebrand myself. My new handle is now @galeidop3k—why? Keep reading!!

I’m happy to introduce my new blog name, Galeid*O! Galeid*O will be a highly active gal blog where I will post regularly about all things gyaru! You can look forward to more reviews, DIY projects, informational articles, and more. This blog will also serve as a companion to my youtube channel, in which I will create blog versions of many of my upcoming videos.

My youtube channel will also see some change. My new intro will highlight Galeid*O and feature a theme song I have made for the blog under my music artist name, P*3*K. Here is the full song and lyric video:

I am very excited to rebrand myself and revamp my social media content! It will be a big positive change just like those that have happened in my personal life. Scary, but worth it. Thank you to everyone being here with me on this journey~ I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me as a gaijin gal this year.

See you in the next post!

Goshikku Gyaru Guide: What is Goshikku Gyaru?

Hey gals!

This is the blog version of my video What is Goshikku Gyaru?

I have made a simple outline of what goes into a goshikku co*de and also included the transcript of my youtube video. ~

Hope this inspires more gals to try this beautiful substyle of gyaru fashion!<3

Goshikku is the Japanese word for gothic. Although similar to rokku gyaru, it is its own substyle entirely. You could say it’s like the darker version of rokku. Unlike rokku which can be colorful and glamorous, goshikku primarily uses black tones. You may see little pops of color like red or white but they are very understated.

Goshikku gals generally had black or blonde hair, sometimes with streaks of color. It could range from short to long and be straight or curled. They often wore heavy dark eyeshadow and red or nude lipstick.

Let’s talk clothing now. Gals could find gothic style clothing from brands like Sexpot Revenge and Diable Baiser. Black dresses are seen a lot in this substyle. The dresses were short mini dresses or long and flowed past the knees. Gals wore leather jackets, studded belts, and see-through knee high socks held up with garter belts. Spider web-patterned tights were commonly worn. Necklaces and chokers were heavily layered on top of each other and featured handcuffs, gothic crosses, and large metal rings. You would also see big black bows, large roses, and hats accessorizing the head.

Many goshikku gals stood tall in platform boots- those wore super over the top buckled knee high boots (do those have a name? They are still very popular in different alt fashion styles) or simple ankle-high platforms.

So, those are the pieces that make goshikku gyaru what it is!

Finding Larger Shoe Sizes in Japanese Gyaru Brands

Hello gals!

Here is a guide for all you gaijin gals like me who are frustrated that most gal brands don’t go up to 26cm shoe sizes. 😭 BUT there are some brands out there who do!

**this is a blog version of my instagram post so I can  add more tips and details here**

•Please double-check with the description of the item you are buying that they are indeed 26cm in length. For some brands, size LL goes up to 24.5-25cm. Especially with close-toed shoes which are dangerous to wear when they are too small.
•Brands I can think of offhand that have 2L sizes are Liz Lisa, Diable Baiser, Esperanza, and Bodyline(not a gal brand but they have cute shoes you could use!)

Hope this helps! :)
