In this post I am sharing a short photo guide I made about Mode Gyaru - a very underrated and amazing substyle of gyaru fashion!

LOALO Vol. 2 Review with Photos!

 

Hey gals! ♡ Today I am reviewing LOALO magazine vol. 2! ~

I have to say I love this volume even more than the first. It feels much more like a typical gal mag than the last. Still a photobook, this volume we see some behind-the-scenes snaps and more clothing brands!

I was happy to see Yayosaan (below) in this volume. I think she is really cool and cute and I love her instagram. ♡

Here is where it really feels like an old-fashioned gal mag. This volume features collages of snaps showing the LOALO models' parties!

This is like many other gal magazines (such as Egg) that have multi-page spreads of party snapshots.

It's cool to see them all having so much fun. ♡ Wish I was there!

In this volume we get a four-page spread of Fukitisu among other models. Umm, how cute is that daisy-covered bikini?!?

I looove how she does her make, so I took a close-up snap. (below)

Last of all I want to share some clothing ads, because we see a little more of those in this volume.

There is an ad for Baby Shoop which, unfortunately, officially closed its doors in December 2022. This was an OG gal clothing brand that started in the early 2000's and it's sad to see yet another long-running gal brand close down. 

There is also an ad for Black Queen which is still going strong.

And that is all I wanted to share from this volume! I like the direction this magazine is going, if it continues to show more behind-the-scenes party snaps and clothing brands! I am two volumes behind so I need to catch up on volumes 3 and 4. Until then! See you in the next post.♡

What’s In My Gyaru Bag?

Hello gals!♡

This is the blog version of what is in my gyaru bag! This is a companion to the youtube video I made which you can watch here. 

I tried to make the pic look like a gal magazine section where the models show what’s in their bags, but idk. T_T 

Check it out!

1) My bag: Coach tote with pastel cherry-print. I think it’s perfect for himekaji! Overall, just a really cute springy bag.

2) Betsey Johnson wallet! ♡ The print has skulls, bows, pearls, lips, pearls, and gems. Really gives me a rokku vibe (yes it doesn’t match my purse) but I love it so I use it anyway. Betsey Johnson is the most perfect western brand for gaijin gals imo, you can find it easily in America and everything they make has super gyaru-ble prints and styles! Gals in Japan back in the day also used Betsey Johnson bags and such. :)

3) Coach umbrella with floral pattern. I kind of made a big deal about it in my video, but long story short, southern Cali has received record amounts of rain this season so I actually have a reason to carry an umbrella now. 

4) Reusable shopping bag featuring Motimaru the cat! You can find items with this cat on them all over Daiso stores.

5) Rady sunglasses ♡ Featuring their signature pastel  marble print and held in a cute pink slipcase.

6) Peach-print headphone case containing wire earbuds because yes I still use those. (I lost my bluetooth earbuds okay??)

7) Leopard-print scrunchie and rhinestone waniwani (hair claw in gal speak ;p)

8)Cinnamoroll hair comb and mirror in plastic pochi.

9) Dior Lip Glow Addict lip balm in shade “1947 Miss Dior” 

10)Hand sanitizer with korilakkuma silicone cover ♡

11) Big makeup pochi (pouch) that I keep my daily makeup, hand cream, and travel perfumes inside.

Aaaand that’s it. I plan to post more blogs as companions to my youtube videos from now on, so I can share my love for the gal lifestyle with even more people! (Idk, I think people can find my blog through google searches, we’ll find out?)
