I am a 26-year old gaijin gyaru from the USA. I first discovered gyaru back in 2013 on tumblr. At this time I was really into lolita fashion and fairy kei. Unfortunately back then gyaru brands such as Liz Lisa were far more difficult and expensive to obtain in the United States. Lolita clothes were always a bit more accessible, so I stuck to this fashion style until I eventually fell out of J-fashion altogether. It wasn't until the pandemic hit that I rediscovered gyaru culture and fell head-first into a spiraling obsession with all things gal! Some of my favorite sub-styles now are tsuyome, onee gyaru, rokku, and yamanba (these are subject to change frequently, lol!).

I also recently just formed a new online gyarusa called Cocohari with a few other gals. I am so greatful to have made new friends online and be in a gal circle now, seeing as I have never known any J-fashion enthusiasts like me in real life. Good thing the internet exists!
